日本語：

昨年行った活動を大変喜んでもらえたことから（下記添付をご覧下さい）、私たちは今年も同様の活動を行いました。
日本の皆さまからお寄せ頂いた不要になったおもちゃや衣類を、インドネシアやパキスタンの子供たちにおくりました。
果たして去年と同じ数のおもちゃや衣類が集まるのか、少し危ぶんでいました。というのは、節約傾向にある今日の経済危機の中で、人々は新しい物をあまり購入しなくなり、結果として、不用品を人に譲らなくなるのではないかという理由からでした。
はじめのうちはなかなか集まりませんでしたが、締切期日が迫る頃には我が家は物で溢れかえりました。
30箱分の品々をお寄せ頂き、そのうち21箱をインドネシアに、残り9箱をパキスタンに送りました。

子供向けのおもちゃや絵本、子供用/大人用の新品の洋服や古着、文房具などが集まりました。
衣類については、熱帯地域であるインドネシア向けの夏服も頂きましたが、それだけではなく、冬服もたくさん頂きました。冬服については、 Fiber-Recycle Solidarity Association (JFSA/日本全国から古着を集めているＮＰＯ団体) 通じて寄付を致しました。
JFSＡは古着を集め荷造りしたのち、それらをパキスタンに送り、カラチのスラム街に学校を建設・経営し子供たちに無料で教育を受けさせている現地の財団と

去年と異なるのは、送料の援助を希望する友人達からの現金の寄付を頂いたことです。
幸運なことに、寄付頂いたお金で、送料のほぼ全額がまかなえました。そして何より、数名の友人達が荷物発送における一連のお手伝い（お金がかかる専門の引越業者を頼む代わりに、トラックをレンタカーして自分たちで荷物を積み、横浜港まで運ぶ）をしてくれたおかげで、それぞれにかかる経費を削減する事ができたのです。

寄付頂いた品々は１～２月に荷造りをしました。荷箱は３月２３日に横浜港へ運び、5月12日にYogyakartaに到着しました。
箱に入った品々は、２００９年５月下旬～６月中旬に、Yogyakarta近郊の各村にあるチルドレン・センターに分配されました。
チルドレン・センターに送るパッケージを仕上げるにあたっては、現地インドネシアで寄付頂いた、教育用具、石鹸、クッキー、ミルクなどの品々も加えられました。
おもちゃばかりではなく、とても状態の良い衣類（新品/フォーマルな服）はビレッジ・センターに寄付され、子供たちには、誕生日を迎えた時や、パーティーやイベントなどの機会にその洋服を借りることができるようにしました。これにより、一部の個人に限らず、より多くの子供たちがおもちゃや洋服などの恩恵を受けることができます。

あらためて日本の皆様の愛情と親切な心を実感しました。

Based on the positive response of last year project (see at bottom posting), this year we did it again. Collect the used toys and clothes from Japan and send it to needy children in Indonesia and Pakistan.
We were a bit pessimistic this year if we can collect the same number of things like last year. The reason is the current economic crisis, where people tend to limit the spending, mean not to buy much of new things, therefore not to give away the used things. In the beginning it was difficult to collect the product, but just near the deadline of product collection, goods keep on flowing to our home.
30 boxes were collected. 21 of them went to Indonesia, 9 of them went to Pakistan.

Children toys, picture books, used and new children and adult clothes, stationary, were collected.
For the clothes, not only we received the summer clothes (for tropical Indonesia) but also many of winter clothes. For winter clothes, we donated that to an NPO organization called Japan Fiber-Recycle Solidarity Association (JFSA) who collect used clothes from all over Japan. JFSA selects, packs and ship them to Pakistan and work with local foundation to build and run schools in slum area of Karachi and provide education for free for needy children. Unlike last year, we received cash donation from friends who want to help with shipping cost. Luckily we got a very good deal of shipping arrangement which make the money we received and money we paid for shipping is almost equal. Other than that, some kind friends voluntarily help the arrangement (such as instead of using a professional moving company which cost much, we rented truck and drove and pick/drop boxes ourself until Yokohama port) so we can avoid spending money at some places.

Product was collected and packed January-February. Boxes were moved to Yokohama port on March 23. On May 12 the boxes arrived at Yogyakarta.
The goods are distributed to children center in villages at Yogya outskirts area between late May and mid of June 2009.
To complete the package given to children center, some additional product received from Indonesian donator was added such us educational material, soap, cookies and milk.
Not only toys, the clothes which consider as very good condition (new/formal clothes) were decided to be donated/placed in village center and any children who has speciall occasions (birthday, party, event) can borrow the clothes for the purpose. This way, toys/clothes can benefit more children instead of only few individuals.

Once again the love and kindness of friends from Japan is proven.

今年初めに、日本にいる友人全員からのご好意により、たくさんの洋服とおもちゃを恵まれないインドネシアの子供達に送ることができました。
皆様の熱意と積極的なご協力のおかげです。
私達は２００９年２月まつに、再度　インドネシアとパキスタンの恵まれない子供たちにお下がりの洋服やおもちゃを送ってあげたいと考えています。
自然災害により被害を受けた多くの貧しい子供たちは今、世界経済の不況によって、さらに貧しい生活を送っています。

ご自宅に不要な子供服があれば、是非お譲り下さい。子供達が問題なく使用できる状態の物なら何でも結構です。

尚、民営の運送会社を利用して自己負担で荷物を発送するため、巨大サイズのおもちゃについてはご遠慮くださいませ。
また、インドネシアとパキスタンの電圧は日本のものとは異なりますので、電子機器類についてもご遠慮下さい。
電池で動くおもちゃなら大丈夫です。
言語が異なるため、日本語の本はご遠慮下さい。（赤ちゃん向けの絵本なら大丈夫です。）
今回はパキスタンにも送ろうと考えておりますので、冬服もOKです。（パキスタンには四季があります。）
子供向けのものを優先しておりますが、大人用の古着も受け付けております。
別の世界にいる恵まれない子供達と、小さな幸せを分かち合いましょう！

私の名前はディアン（インドネシア出身）、私の夫はサイード(パキスタン出身）と申します。私たちには７歳になる娘・ライサと３歳になる息子・ケンの2人の子供がおり、現在日本に住んでいます。私が２００６年１０月にインドネシアに帰国した際に、私の子供たちが使っていたおもちゃや小さくて着られなくなった洋服をスーツケースいっぱいにつめて持っていきました。インドネシアのたくさんの子供たちにつかってもらえると思ったからです。　その年、大きな地震が　私の両親が住んでいるヨガカルタ（Yogyakarta）という街を襲いました。　おもちゃや洋服は、地震の被害者でいある小さな子供たちに届けられ、大変喜ばれました。そして、実はいくつかの村の職員からも　なんらかの形でまたこのような物を頂くことはできないものかと、私の父に相談がありました。
それが、すべての始まりでした。　大変親切な友人や隣人の皆様私たちの思いに共感して下さって、このプロジェクトに協力してくださいました。そのプロジェクトとは、「ご家庭で使用していないものの、まだ十分に使える子供たちのおもちゃや洋服を集めて、ヨガカルタ(Yogyakarta)の恵まれない子供たちに送る」というものです。その話が皆さんに伝わり、おもちゃや洋服が我が家に集まり始めました。本、やわらかいおもちゃ(soft toys)、お人形、文房具などのありとあらゆる種類の子供用おもちゃと、赤ちゃんサイズから大人サイズまで、様々なサイズの子供用の洋服、帽子、バッグ等々・・・。また、おさがりの物に限らず、新品の物までありました。皆様がどれほど純粋に思いを共有して下さっているか、そして多くの人の心に愛があることを知り、心から感動しました。
私たちの目標はダンボール１０箱分のおもちゃや洋服を集めることでしたが、最終的に２週間で１９箱分も集まりました。今回、荷物の発送料をほぼ自費でまかなっているため、ここでこの活動を終了しなくてはなりませんでした。集められた荷物は船便で４月中旬に横浜港から発送され、２００８年５月９日に無事ヨガカルタ（Yogyakarta)に到着しました。
子供たちが必要としているものを確実に届けるため、ダンボールから取り出された荷物は分類され、カテゴリー別に分配されました。５歳以下の子供向けのおもちゃや洋服は、保育園や幼稚園に届けられ、それより大きな子供たち向けの物は小学校に送られました。インドネシアの友人達の何人かは、文房具や小学校の制服を購入するための資金を寄付してくれました。（インドネシアの学校の子供たちは制服を着ていますが、貧しい親達は子供たちに制服を買ってあげることができないのです。）

おもちゃや洋服は、2008年5月の最終週の時点で、ヨガカルタ郊外の貧しい村に住む287人の子供たちに届けられました。287人の子供たちは大きな笑顔を浮かべて、たくさんの新型おもちゃで遊んだり、ドラえもんやキティちゃん、ゲキレンジャーなどのキャラクターで遊んでいました。そのおもちゃのどれもが、今まで想像もしたことのないような物でした。
贈り物は大変喜ばれ、基本的なものすら手にする経済的余裕のない恵まれない人々を助けるだけではなく、同時に学校や教育センターで、教えたり学んだりする教材としても使われました。大変役立っています。
私の両親は「おもちゃや洋服を届けた日は特別な日だった」と言います。何千キロと離れた場所から、災害が起こって何年かたった今でもインドネシアの恵まれない子供たちのことを気にかけてくれる人々がいてくれることに感動して、教師や親達の中には泣き出す者もいました。
恵まれない人たちの数は数え切れないほどです。そこで、このような計画を毎年行いたいと考えています。日本の”スペース事情”や子供たちの成長によって、少なくとも１年に１度は、子供部屋のおもちゃや洋服を整理していらっしゃると思います。そんな時、ご自宅で不要になった物がインドネシアのたくさんの子供たちを助けることを思い出してください。貴方のご参加を心からお待ちしております。

My name is Dian, I came from Indonesia. My husband is Saeed, he is from Pakistan. We’ve been living in Japan for ten years and having two beautiful children, Raisa a seven years old girl and Ken a three years old boy.

When I went back for a visit to my home country Indonesia in October 2006, I brought a suitcase full of my kids used toys and too small clothes. I know in Indonesia, many kids can use it.
At that year, the earthquake hit Yogyakarta the city where my parents decided to spend their golden years time. The toys and clothes goes to the young victim of the quake and was more than welcomed. In fact, some village official asked my father if in any way they can get this kind of things again.

That was how it all started.
Very kind friends and neigbour share the same passion to do the project. Collect the unused kids toys and clothes from houses in Japan, to be sent to the unfortunate children in Yogyakarta. Anything which still can be used.
Words spread and things started to come to my home. All type of children toys: books, soft toys, doll, stationary,etc. All size of children clothes: baby size until adult size, hat, bag, etc. Not only the used one, some even brand new.
It is so touching to see how people genuinely want to share. How love lies in the heart of many.

Our target was to collect some 10 boxes of things. It end-up we collected 19 boxes in two weeks. I have to stop the things to flow in, as at this time the shipping cost mostly handled by myself.

The boxes left Japan by ship from Yokohama port middle of April. On May 9, 2008 all the boxes reached Yogyakarta safely.

My parents with some kind-hearted friends managed to unpacked the boxes, classified and distributed the things to categories to fit the target. Toys and clothes for children under five went to some early childhood play group/kindergarden. Those for bigger kids goes to some elementary school. Some of friends in Indonesia contribute additional stationary and some money was collected to buy uniform for children at elementary school (in Indonesia, children wear uniform to school but at that school the parents can’t afford to buy uniform for their kids).
The things was distributed to 287kids in poor villages at the suburb of Yogyakarta on last week of May, 2008.
287 kids had a very big smile, playing with many new type of toys and some character like Doraemon, Hello Kitty, Gekirenja, etc. The thing they never imagined before.

The gift are so much welcomed. Not only it help them who is unfortunate not to be able to afford anything more that basic, but also used as the material of learning and teaching at school and education center. It is very productive.

My parents said, the day they distribute the things, was a special day. Some teacher and parents cried because touched by the kindness of people who cared and remembered them from thousand miles away, even years after the disaster occured.
Friends from Japan will always be remembered for the kindness.

As the number of unfortunate are many, I am thinking to make this kind of project every year. I understand in Japan due to space and growing kids we recycle the things in our children room at least every year. Please remember what you may get rid from your home can help many children in Indonesia.

I would like to thank you for all your great support for this project. There are many names I should mentioned, but please forgive me if I missed any name. Some of you just dropped the things in front of my door and I didn’t know from whom it was. Who ever you are, please be assured, you helped children. You put smiles to kids faces across the ocean.

Nama saya Dian, berasal dari Indonesia dan menikah dengan Saeed Akhtar yang berasal dari Pakistan. Kami menetap di Jepang bersama putri dan putra kami, Raisa (7 tahun) dan Ken (3 tahun).
Ketika kami berkunjung ke tanah air pada bulan Oktober 2006, saya membawa sekoper besar berisi mainan bekas dan pakaian yang sudah sempit dari kamar anak-anak saya. Saya sengaja membawa barang-barang itu, karena saya yakin barang-barang itu masih bisa digunakan banyak anak lain di Indonesia.
Pada tahun itu, gempa bumi melanda Yogyakarta, kota dimana saat ini orang tua saya tinggal. Mainan dan pakaian bekas itu dibagikan ke anak-anak korban bencana dan sungguh diterima dengan tangan terbuka. Bahkan, beberapa pengurus dusun menghubungi orang tua saya untuk menanyakan kemungkinan mendapatkan barang-barang bekas untuk anak-anak tak mampu.

Begitulah semua ini bermula.
Sahabat-sahabat dan tetangga di Jepang mendukung ide saya untuk mengumpulkan mainan dan pakaian bekas dari rumah-rumah di Jepang, untuk dikirimkan ke anak-anak yang kurang beruntung di Yogyakarta. Jenis dan ukuran atidak menjadi soal asal masih bisa digunakan. Berita pun menyebar dari mulut ke mulut dan barang-barang mulai berdatangan kerumah saya. Segala macam bentuk mainan anak: buku, boneka, alat tulis, dll. Segala ukuran pakaian: dari bayi hingga dewasa. Bukan hanya barang bekas, bahkan banyak barang baru yang disumbangkan. Sungguh mengharukan melihat betapa tulus teman-teman ingin berbagi. Begitu banyak cinta di dalam hati banyak orang.
Target saya adalah mengumpulkan sekitar 10 kotak besar. Dalam dua minggu 19 kotak barang terkumpul. Saya terpaksa menolak aliran barang yang masuk karena semua kotak-kotak itu akan dikirimkan melalui kapal dengan biaya saya pribadi. Kotak-kotak berangkat meninggalkan Jepang dari pelabuhan Yokohama pada pertengahan April. Tanggal 9 Mei 2008, semua kotak tiba di Yogyakarta dengan selamat.
Semua kotak-kotak dibuka, barang dipilah dan diklasifikasikan berdasarkan kategori yang sesuai dengan target yang akan disumbang. Mainan dan pakaian anak-anak balita untuk Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) atau pusat pendidikan balita dan Taman Kanak (TK). Barang-barang untuk anak yang lebih besar akan diberikan ke Sekolah Dasar.
Beberapa teman di Indonesia menyumbangkan alat tulis tambahan dan juga uang untuk membeli seragam sekolah untuk anak-anak SD, berhubung banayak orang tua murid di SD target bantuan ini yang tidak memeliki uang untuk membeli seragam bagi anaknya.

Barang-barang bantuan didistribusikan kepada 287 orang anak-anak di daerah miskin dan korban bencana, di pinggiran Yogyakarta di akhir bulan Mei 2008.
Barang-barang tersebut diterima dengan gembira, senyum lebar merekah di 287 wajah-wajah mungil.
Bukan hanya membantu anak-anak yang kurang beruntung yang bahkan tidak mampu membeli barang kebutuhan dasar, berbagai barang tersebut menjadi barang yang produktif karena digunakan sebagai bahan belajar dan mengajar di sekolah-sekolah.
Orang tua saya yang mendistribusikan barang-barang tersebut mengatakan, hari pembagian itu adalah hari yang sangat istimewa bagi banyak anak-anak , orang tua dan guru. Beberapa orang sampai menitikkan air mata karena tersentuh dengan kebaikkan hati mereka yang membantu dan mengingat, walau jauh dari seberang lautan, walau bertahun-tahun setelah bencana berlalu.
Teman-teman dari Jepang akan selalu dikenang atas kebaikannya.

Berhubung jumlah anak-anak yang kurang beruntung ini sangat banyak, saya berpikir untuk melakukan proyek sejenis tiap tahunnya. Saya tahu bahwa cepatnya anak-anak bertumbuh dan keterbatasan ruang tinggal di Jepang mengharuskan masyarakat disini untuk menyortir dan membuang mainan dan pakaian dari kamar anak-anak setiap tahunnya.
Ingatlah apa yang anda buang dari rumah anda, bisa menjadi barang yang sangat berguna bagi anak-anak di Indonesia.

7. PAUD ‘Tunas Bangsa II’ Mojosari, Wonolelo, Pleret, Bantul. Maianan dan pakaian untuk 43 anak. 31 mei.
